CITY OF VERNON HELD DECEMBER 1, 2015, IN THE
COUNCIL CHAMBER OF THE CITY HALL LOCATED AT 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE VERNON, CALIFORNIA
MEMBERS PRESENT: McCormick, Davis, Martinez, Ybarra, and Woodruff-Perez
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
The meeting was called to order at 11:02 a.m. by President McCormick.
President McCormick announced that there are no changes to the agenda and announced that this
was the time allotted for public comment and inquired whether anyone in the audience wished to
address the Board. No one responded.
MINUTES
1. Minutes of the Special Vernon Historic Preservation Society Meeting held
December 9, 2014. It was moved by Davis and seconded by Woodruff-Perez to approve the above listed Minutes.
Motion carried, 5-0.
ELECTIONS
2. In accordance with Resolution No. VHPS-0017, Article VI, Section 2, of the Second
Amended and Restated Bylaws of the Vernon Historic Preservation Society,
election of the following officers to serve for the annual term of December 2015
through December 2016: a. President
b. Vice President (Optional)
c. Chief Financial Officer
d. Secretary

It was moved Ybarra and seconded by Davis to elect the same officers and keep the status quo:
the President will remain the Mayor, the Vice President will remain the Mayor Pro-Tem, the Chief Financial Officer will remain the Finance Director, and the Secretary will remain the City Clerk. Motion carried, 5-0.
ORAL REPORTS
3. Brief reports on activities and other brief announcements and/or directives to staff.
Secretary Maria E. Ayala advised that a presentation on the City’s various agencies is
forthcoming and will be presented during a Council meeting,
With no further business, at 11:03 a.m., the meeting was adjourned.
