ORDINANCE NO. 1140 - An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Vernon Amending the Code of the City of Vernon, California, 1959, by Amending Sections 16.24 and 16.25 of Article II of Chapter 16 of said Code Relating to Law Enforcement and Repealing all Ordinances or Parts of Ordinances in Conflict Therewith (second and final reading) ORDINANCE NO. 1141 - An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Vernon Amending the Code of the City of Vernon, California, 1959, by Adding Subparagraph 8 to Section 17.14 of Chapter 17 and Adding Section 17.16 to Chapter 17 of said Code Relating to Law Enforcement and Repealing all Ordinances or Parts of Ordinances in Conflict Therewith (second and final reading) ORDINANCE NO. 1142 - An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Vernon Amending the Code of the City of Vernon, California, 1959 by Adding Sections 2.5-6 and 2.5-7 to Chapter 2, Article I, Regarding the Finance and Personnel Committees and Repealing all Ordinances or Parts of Ordinances in Conflict Therewith (second and final reading) Regular City Council Meeting Agenda February 4, 2008 In accordance with Government Code Section 7507, future annual costs as determined by the CalPERS System Actuary for the proposed increase in retirement benefits will be as follows: 1.Change in Present Value of Benefits $8,984,659 2. Change in Accrued Liability $6,298,475 3.Change in Total Employer Rate 6.930% The local miscellaneous member contribution rate to be paid by the City will be 8% of reportable earnings, as of the effective date of the amendment to the contract.
