Montgomery NEW BUSINESS 1.The Director of Community Services & Water will give a report on the development of a major investment study of the I-710 freeway from State Route 60 to the ports in Los Page 3 of 5 Regular City Council Meeting Agenda October 4, 2010 Angeles and Long Beach. He will seek City Council authorization to submit an Early Action Project application for the following proposed improvements and any other infrastructure projects the City believes may be funded under the program: a. Design of the I-710/Slauson Avenue interchange; b. Reconfiguration design of the northbound on -ramps and off -ramps to and from Atlantic Boulevard; and c. Design of the widening of the Atlantic Boulevard bridge. DISCUSSIONS 1.Southeast Cities Educational (SCE) Foundation. The City Administrator has received a letter from the SCE Foundation requesting the use of the City office space directly adjacent to the space currently occupied by the Southeast Cities Schools Coalition. 2.California High Speed Rail Authority Project (CHSRA). The Director of Community Services & Water will report on the two rail corridor segments, Los Angeles to Anaheim and Los Angeles to San Diego, that are proposed to traverse through Vernon, and seek City Council direction with regard to the City's position respecting the proposed CHSRA project. ORAL REPORTS 1.Conference/Seminar reports from Elected Officials for the period of September 20 through October 3, 2010. 2.City Administrator Reports - brief reports on activities and other brief announcements. 3.City Council Reports - each member of the City Council will provide a brief report on his activities and make other brief announcements.
