ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING.
An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Oity of Vernonl county of Los Angelesl State of california. was
held on the 6th day of August 191 6, at 10 0 I clock
A.3a M. of said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in
said Oity of Vernon, which said place is the place fixed by ordi-
nance for regular meetings of said Board to be held, pursuant to
adj ournment from the regular meeting held the 3rd da.y of
1911) ,

There were present at such meeting Trustees, Furlong, Kniffin,
Durbin and Leonis. .Also City Attorney Williams.
There were absent from such meeting Trusteel stevens.
President Trustee Furlong
presiding.
Th~ minutes of the meeting , held on August
3rd, 191 5, were: laid over.
The matter of excavations for laying water pipes was taken
up with the So. L. A. Water Co.
Mr. Robinson from the Water
Company was present and after discussion he agreed that all excava-
tions made, would be made and the pipes laid strictly in accordance
with Ordinance No. 44 and from time to time would file sectional
maps showing this, and finally would file a full map. He also
agreed that he would not attempt to lay any pipes or to excavate
unless the width and depth and location of 'the trench were satis-
factory to the street Superintendent before the work was proceeded
with.
Thereupon the following resolution was introduced, read and
adopted, to-wit:
Resolved that the grade of the Easterly portion of Santa Fe
Avenue from the Southerly line of Fruitland Road to the Southerly
city-boundary and the Westerly portion of said avenue from the
South line of Center Avenue to the South city boundary be established
as follows, to-wit:
At the intersection of the East curb line with the Southerly
line of Fruitland Road, its elevation shall be

At the intersection of the East curb line with the Northerly
line of East 52nd street, its elevation shall be

At the intersection ot the East curb line with the Southerly
line of East 1)2nd Street, its elevation shall be

The above elevations are in feet above the city datum plane and
refer to the tops of the curbs.
At all points between the above designated points, the grade
shall conform to a straight line drawn through the above designated
points.
