REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon~ Oounty of Los Angeles} and State of California~ was held
on the 16th day of November ~ 1915} at 2 0' clock P. M~ of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said city
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed hy
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.

There were present at such meeting Trustees} Furlong, stevens,
Kniffin and Leonis. Also City Attorney Williams.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee~Durbin.

The minutes of the meeting , he~hon Ootober 19th, Ootobel- 27th,

November 3rd, November 6th and November1915 , were: read and approved.
Thereupon all the matters, things and aots done at the Speoial
Meeting held at the hour of 2 o'olook p. M. on November 9th, 1915,
were partioularly ratified and approved.
The Report of the Marshal and the Treasurer's Report were pre-
sented to the Board and the same were turned over to the Finanoe
Committee.
Resolution No. 146 was introduoed, read and adopted by the
following vote:

Said Resolution No. 146 being in words and figures as. follows,
to-wit:
"RESOLUTION NO. 146."
"A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon, California, do
hereby resolve as follows, to-wit:
That the public interest and convenience require and it is the
intention of the Board of Trustees to order that portion of ROSS STREET
in said oity, extending from the South line of 37th Street, formerly
Muriel Avenue, to the North line of 38th street, formerly Jefferson
street, as shown on the corrected map of the Aldine Square Traot as
per map reoorded in Book 29, page 12 of Miscellaneous Records of the

County of Los Angeles, state of California, to be improved in the
following manner:
(a) That said street between said limits be graded to the
offioial grade and that the roadway spaoe thereof be paved with a
Portland oement, conorete base and asphalt wearing surfaoe in ac-
oordanoe with Speoifioations No. II and plan,aRQ profile and oross-
seotion No. 140 of said city.
(b) That a ooncrete gutter twelve (12") inches in width be
construoted along both sides of the roadway space of said street
as per Speoifications No. 10 of said city, and as per said plan,
profile and oross-seotion.
(0) That a oonorete curb be oonstructed on both sides of the
roadway space of said street between the aforesaid limits, in ac-
cordance with Speoifications No. 9 and also as per said plan,

All specifications herein referred to are on file in the'
office of the City Clerk of said city.
All plans and profiles herein referred to are on file in
the offioe of the City Engineer of said city.
The Board of Trustees determines that serial bonds shall be
issued to represent assessments of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00)
or over for the cost of said work or improvement;
said serial
bonds shall extend over a periOd ending nine years from and after
the 2nd day of January next suooeeding the date of said bonds, and
an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be
payable by coupon,on the 2nd day of January every year after their
date until the whole is paid; and the interest shall be payable
semi-annually by ooupon, on the 2nd days of January and July, re-
spectively, of eaoh year, at the rate of seven per oent (7%) per
annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said principal and
interest is paid.
Said bonds shall be issued in acoordanoe with
the provisions of an aot of the Legislature of the State of California,
entitled, "An Act to provide a system of street improvement bonds
to represent oertain assessments for the cost of street work and
improvements within munioipalities, and also for the payment of
such bonds," approved February 27th, 1893 and all aots supplementary

thereto or amendatory thereof.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a oopy of this
resolution in three of the most publio plaoes in the City of
Vernon, to-wit, one at the Northwest corner of Santa Fe Avenue and
37th street, another at the Northwest oorner of Santa Fe Avenue and
38th Street, and another at the front door of the City Hall in said
oity.
The Superintendent of Streets is hereby direoted to post
notioes of street work along the line of said improvement, in
the manner and form required by law and also in the three publio
plaoes hereinabove specified.
T. W. Garr is hereby appointed Superintendent of Streets for
all purposes oonneoted with this improvement prooeeding.
Adopted and approved this 16th day of November, 1915.
