REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon I Oouhty of Los Angeles, and State of Californial was held
on the 'th day of llarch , 1916, at 2 0' clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said city
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees, stevens. Kn,itfin and
Furlong.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee, Durpin and Leonis.
President Trustee

presiding.
The minutes of the meeting s, held on February 1ft. 8th, 11th ~nd
29th, 1916, were: read and approved.
Ordinance No. 166 entitled an ordinance granting to the Loa
Angelea District Telegraph Company a franchise for the right to
place. erect and maintain poles. wires and other appliances and
conduits and to l~ underground cables for the transmission of
electricity tor fire alarm, night watch supervision, burglar al~,
sprinkler supervisory or other like electric signaling business
purposes, in, upon and under the streets. alleys, avenues, thorough-
fares and pUbliC plaoes in said City ot Vernon and to exeroise the
privilege of operating fire alarm, night watoh supervision, burglar
alarm, sprinkle7.' supervisory or other:" like eleotric signaling busi-
ness in said City of Vernon was read for the seoond time and a40pted.
Ordinance No. 16' entitled an ordinance fixing the salaries ot
certain officials and repealing ordinances Nos. 'I and 12', was
introduced, read and passed its first reading.
Ordinanae No. 168 entitled an ordinance oalling a General
Munioipal Eleotion was introduced, read and passed its first reading.
Thereupon the meeting adj ourned to IIleet again on Tuesday the
14th day of Barch, 1916 at 2 o'Clock p. 1l. at the regular meeting
place of the board.
