REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the city of
VernonJ Oounty of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 5th day of September , 191 6r at 2 o'clook P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting plaoe of said Board in said city
of Vernon, whioh said time and plaoe is the time and plaoe fixed by
ordinanoe for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees, Furlong, Kniffin
and Leonis.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee, Stevens and Durbin.
President Trustee presiding.
The minutes of .the meeting , held cn August 15th, 1916 and
August 22nd, 1916 ~ I were: read and approved.
Ordinance No. 170 e ordinance granting to the Southern
Pacific Railroad Company,
orporation, its successors and assigns,

the right, privileges and Permission to lay, construct, maintain and
operate a railroad spur track across 25th Street, in the City of
Vernon, was read for the secon~ time and adopted.
The Board of Trustees granted the right and authority to Fred
Harris to dump tin cans and other non-combustible material along the
bank of the Los Angeles River where it will do the most good.
Ordinance No. 174 entitled an ordinance regulating the storage
of h~ and other like combustible material was introduced, read and
passed its first reading.
Map of Tract No. 2164 being a subdivision of a portion of the
Southeast Q,uarter of the Southwest Q,uarter of Section 10, Township 2
South, Range 13 West, S. B. M., in the City of Vernon, was accepted
by the Board of Trustees.
Map of Tract lio. 3117, being are-subdivision of Blocks A, B,
C. Lots 1, 2, 3 and West 14.63 feet of Lot 4 in Block D; Lots 1,
,
2, 3, 30, 31 and 32 and the West 14.63 feet of Lots 4 and 29 in
Block E; Lots 1, 2, 3 and the West 14.63 feet of Lot 4 in Block F
of Maquarrie &: Stpulv:ed.a'ds Subdivision of the Ross Tract, reoorded in
Book 23, page 8 of Miscellaneous Records of said County and portions
of Glenwood Avenue, Linwood Avenue and Ross Street, as vacated by
order of the Board of Supervisors of said County, recorded in Book
107, page 54 of Miscellaneous Records, was ordered filed and action
thereon was deferred indefinitely.

Map of Tract No. 2455 situated in the City of Vernon, California
and being a subdivision of parts of the 46.28 acre parcel designated
as numbered lot 4 shown upon partition map filed in Seventeenth
District Court, Case No. 2672 records of Los Angeles County, California
and located in the Rancho San Antonio as per Book 1, page 3891 of
Patents, records of said Los Angeles County, was accepted by the
Board of Trustees.
The Clerk reported that he had received a letter from the
California State Board of Health, Beaureau of Sanitary Engineering,
in regard to the examination of water.
the Health Officer.
$100.00 was ordered appropriated by the Board to be used for
Said letter was referred to
repairing 52nd Street West of Santa Fe Avenue.
Thereupon the meeting
