ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING.
An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Oity of Vernon" county of Los Angeles" Sta.te of california. was
held on the 30th day of January, 1917, at 3 0 I clock
P. M. of said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in
said City of Vernon" which said plaoe is the place fixed by ordi-
nance for regular meetings of said Board to be held, pursuant to
adjournment from the regular meeting held the 16th day of
January 1917 ,
There were present at such meeting Trustees" Furlong. Leonis I
stevens and Kniffin.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee"Durbin.
President Trustee Furlong
presiding.
Th~ minutes of the_meeting s, held on January 2nd and
January 16th 1917, were: laid over.
Thereupon the President stated that appeai3 of the Los Angeles
Foundry Company and Henry Chamberlain in connection with the work.
the proceedings and the assessment for the improvement of 25th street
were pending and that this was the day and hour at which the same
were set for hearing.
Thereupon Mr. Chamberlain addressed the Board in regard to
25th street not being in confor.mity with the specifications under
whiCh said street" was paved.
The City Engineer of Vernon stated
that the work had been properly done and inspe cted and that it
had been done in strict conformity with the specifications.
After listening to the discussion between Mr. Chamberlain
and the City Engineer. the Board took the matter under advisement
until Thursday, February 1st. 1917 at 3:00 P. M.
Thereupon the meeting adjourned to meet again on Thursday the
first day of February, 1917 at the hour of 3 o'clock P. M. at the
regular meeting place of the Board.
