ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING.
An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Oity of Vernonl county of Los Angelesl State of california. was
held on the 7th day of February 1917, at 2 0 I clook
P. M. of said day at the regular meeting plaoe of said Board in
said Oity of Vernon, which said plaoe is the place fixed by ordi-
nance for regular meetings of said ~oard to be held, pursuant to
adjournment from the regular meeting held the 6th day of
February 1917 J
There were present at such meeting Trusteesl Furlong, Leonis
and Kniffin.
There were absent from such meeting Trusteel
President Trustee
Furlong
presiding.
Th~ minutes of the meeting J held on January 30th,
1917 J were: read and

approved.
Fred E. firiesmer was appointed Deputy Inspector of steam boilers
by the Board of Trustees.
Mr. Griesmer to be paid $5.00 for such
inspection and the city to be paid $1.00 thereof.
The Board instructed Howard McCurdy, the city engineer to make
a report of the streets which are occupied by priva.te parties.
Mr. W. C. Mushet was instructed to install a new system of book-
keeping in accordance with his report submitted to the Trustees on
January 2nd, 1917.
Said system to be installed at a cost of $200.00
plus the cost of the books necessary for such system.
The City Auditor, the President of the Board of Trustees and the
City Attorney were appointed a corMaittee to investigate the report of
Mr. W. C. Mushet touching t~e point he raised in regard to money which
may be due theCity of Vernon under the Vrooman Act.
The 20th day of Febr~~~-2![7~)legal holiday by virtue of
its being a special e1ectiJhAda;~in Los Angeles County, and said day
being the third Tuesday in the month and the regular meeting day for
the Board; thereupon the meeting adjourned to Wednesday the 21st day
