19191007 Regular City Council Meeting - Minutes
REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 7th day of October , 1919 , at 2 o'clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees, Furlong, Leonie
and Kiffin.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,s Durbin and stevens.

The minutes of the meetingB held onAug. 5th. Aug. 14th. Aug. 19th,
Aug. 25th, and Sept. 25th 1919, were: laid over.
Communication of the Leape of. California Municipalities was
read by the Clerk and ordered filed.
Communication of. Williams Manufacturing Company of Los Ange~es
was read by the Clerk and ordered filed.
Clerk's financial reports on the months of. August and Sept~
ember 1919 were read by the Clerk and referred to the Finance Commitee.
The City Clerk then presented the Protest and Remonstrance of
the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe ilailway Company against the improve-
ment of Pacific Boulevard and East 46th Street, in the City of Vernon.
California, as proposed b, Resolution of Intention No.- 171. It Was
regularly moved and seconded thatthe 21st day of October be set as the
date of hearing of said protest. The City Clerk was instructed to
notify the Atchison, Topeka. and Santa Fe Railway Company forthwith.
Applica.tions of the Southern Calif. Gas Company for permits
to excavate for the purpose of domestic service at the following places

N.E.cor Santa Fe Ave & 52nd St.- and 2501 E. 26th St. were granted.
UpOD motion duly made seconded and carried meeting adjourned.
