REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 21st day of October , 1919 , at 2 o'clock P. M. of
said day at the rE~.gular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which Baid time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be he:Ld.
There were present at such meeting Trustees, Furlonr;, Leonie and
Kniffin.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,s stevens and Durbin.

The minutes of the meetingfl held onAug. 5th, Aug. 14th, Aug. 19th,
Aug. 26th, Sept. 26th, Oct. 7th 1919, were: read by the Clerk and
upon motion duly made, seconded and oarried were approved.
The hear1nf) of the Protest and Remonstrance of the Atchison.
Topeka and. Santa Fe Railw~ Company against the improvement of Pacific
Boulevard and East 46th Street, in the Oi t;v of Vernoll, California, as
proposed by Resolution of Intention No. 177 .as postponed until the
first Tuesday in January, 1920, to wit;January 6th, 1920.
Lpplication of C. J. Harcus for permit to operate a pool
roam and s'oi&l club in the City of Vernon was referred to a oommittee
of. the whole.
The resignation o.f N. M. Flemming, Deputy Citl Clerk was
read by the Clerk and ordered filed.
A..pp1ication for excavation permit of L. A. Ga.s & KLectric
Corp. to excavate a:t 3800 So. Alameda. St for domestio service. granted.
Applioa.tion for excavatio.n permit of So. Calif. Gas Co.mpany
to. excavate at 4400 Santa Fe Ave for demestic service. was granted.
