19200316 Regular City Council Meeting - Minutes
REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 16.th day of March , 19:10 , at 2 0' clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees, Furlong,Leonie,
Kniffen and Durbin.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee, stevens.
President Trustee Furlong.
presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on Mar.3rd & lOth
19~O, were: laid over to the
next meeting.
Application of J.T.Jordan for a permit to operate a
Slaughter house and Stock yards wae taken up and considered and
on motion was denied on the following vote:-
Ayes--T~stees Furlong,Kniffen and Durbin.
Noes--Trustee Leonia.
Absent-Trustee Stevens.
Application of the Los Angeles Foundry Co.to be per-
mitted to construct an addition to their present building and out
a curb on East 25th Street near Alameda st was read.They were
instructed to take out a regular standard form of permit and submit
same for approval.
Ordinance ordered drawn granting the Atchison,Topeka and
Santa Fe Ry.Co.a franchise to build a spur traak near Boyle Ave.and
26th St.
Application of the Guasti Bissiri Chemical Co. to operate
a Chemical plant was read.They were instruoted to make application on
the standard form.
The City Engineer was instruoted to start the necessary work
for the improvement of East 52nd St.
Applioation of the Southern Calif.Gas Co.to excavate on
26th St.100 feet east of Santa Fe Ave ?ermit * 114 was granted.

Board for approval and payment~

Demands~in.the sum of $467.30 were approved and ordered paid by the

Upon motion duly made ,seconded and carried the meeting was
adjourned.
