REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and state of California, 'Was held
on the 3ro. day of ~ 1921 ,191, at 2 o' clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, 'Which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.

There 'Were absent from such meeting Trustee,
J.B.Leonis
President Trustee J.J.Furlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on April 19th 1921
191 ,'Were: read and approved.
The second reading of Ordinance No.219 was posponed until the
meeting o~ May 17th 1921.
Ordinance No.220 was read for the first time.
COJDm:unilation from the American Encaustic Tile Co ..rela..tive to the
granting of a sewer connection was read and re~erred to the engineer.
Communication from the Los Angeles Board of Public Works was real'

and referred to the City &lgineer.
Communication from the Yellow Taxi Cab Co. relative to parking on
the streets was read and ordered filed.
Applica.tion of H.L.Conner for a permit to conduct a. watch servioe wa.s
laid over until next meeting owing to the absence of the Attorney.
Application of the L.A.Gas Co. for permit to excava.te at 192.0 Eas't
Vernon Ave. was. read and approved.
Applications of the Southern Cal.Gas.Co. for permit to excavate for
service connections at 3310 Fruitland Road and 2524 East 25th. St.was read
and approved.
Application of the L.A.Ry.Co. for permit to run a ground wire 100 feet
north of Ry .Tracks north of Slauson Ave.was read and approved.
Application of the Pacific Tank and Pipe Co. for a permit to build a.
new building in Block 38 Huntington Park E:x:tention No.2 at the N.E.Cor. of
Ea.st 49th St . and Santa Fe Ave was read and approved.
