19210705 Regular City Council Meeting - Minutes
REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 6th day of Julj" 1921 , 191 , at 2 o'clock P.M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
J.J.Furlong.Hornaday and Durbin.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
J.B.Leonis and Y~iffin.
President Trustee J.J.Furlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on
June 41st 1921 191 , were: read and approved.
Communication received from the Southern Pacific Railroad Co. in
reference to the opening of Alameda St.was read mld referred to
the Cit~ Engineer and City Attorney for checking.
An ordinance fixing the amount of money necessary to be raised by
taxation as revenue to carryon the various departments of the City
of Vernon for the year of 1921-22 was read for the first time.
Application of E.J.Brent to build a gar~ge was read and approved.
Application of the Jameson Oil Co.for permission to excavate accross
East 37th St for the purpose of laying a service pipe line was read
and approved.
Application of :Mr.Geo.Durkee for permit for a deputy City Mars-hall
appointment was read and denied.

THE BO)..RD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY or VTllillOH DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOVlS:
That Map known as Tract Ho.4117 be and the same is hereby,adopted
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full,true and correct
copy of resolution No.195 passed and adoFted by the Board of Trustees
of the City of Vernon at a meeting thereof duly and regularly held on
the 5th da;y- of July 1921.

An ordinance regQluting street improvements ur!der private contract was
read for the first time. .
There being no further business motion was duly made,seconded and
carried that the meeting adjourn until the next regular meeting day.
