property at the N.E.Cor.of East 37th St and Santa Fe ~ve was read and
approved.
Application of J.C.Mikesell to erect a small buildijllg on Lot 4 Blk.E
of the Day Star Tract was read and approved.
Application of the Refineries Clay Co. to erect d building and install
a 50 H.P.low pressure Boiler on the leased ground in the rear of the
Stauffer Chemical Co. was read :c..lid approved.

Application of C.H.Gies for a sewer cOllnection permit at 2324 East Vernon
Ave was read and approved.
Applications of the So.Cal.Gas Co. for excavation permits at ~4~7 East 55th
St.and 2324 East Vernon Ave were read and approved.
Communication from the L.A.Railway Co. in whi.ch they sta~e that a careful
two day checl{ of the traffic at St .Charles 11:v:e and East .Vernon Ave does not
warrent the creation of a car stop at th~s point was read and ordered filed
Report of TIr.L.J.Nilliams on the llULlber of persons raising hogs in the
city in violation of the cit~ ordinance was read and ordered filed.

filed.
Annual report of the Mushet lloudi t Co. on the condi.ti.on of the Books of the
City of Vernon Was ordered reviewed by each indivi.dual member of the Board
of Trustees and further action on sarae be posponed until nextmtieting to

ITilshire Oil Co. These three gentlemen were each in turn heard by the
BOD.rd..They held the vimv that a 20 foot street would be sufficient to
