ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING.
An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Vernon~ county of Los Angeles, State of california, was
i~lve on the 10th day of Jan.1922. 191, at 9 ;00 0' clock
~. M. of said day at the regular meeting place of said BoaTd in
said Oity of Vernon, whioh said place is the plaoe fixed by ordi-
nanoe for regular meetings of said Board to be held, pursuant to
adjournment from the regular meeting held the 3rd day of
J~uary 1922 191

Application of Mrs.Carrie Finn for a building permit on Lot 11 Blk.l
of the Aldine Square Traot was read and approved.
Applioation of the Vernon City Sohool for a building permit on the sohool
property at Vernon &; Santa Fe Ave. was read and approved.
Application of the Southern Calif.Gas Co. for an excavation permit at
2419 E.54th St.was read and approved.
Petition relative to the improving of Boyle Ave.about 2.000 feet north of
Slauson Ave.wqs read and referred to the City Engineer for a report.
A letter from the Board of Public Works of the City of Los Angeles relative
to the invitation extended them by the Board of Trustees to be present at
the meeting of Jan.17.1922 in which they state that it would be impossible
as their meeting is at the same time but requested that we meet them at
1;30 P.M. on the same day was read and upon motion duly made and seconded
the City Clerk was advised to notify them that our Board of Trustees would
calla meeting at 1;30 P.M. on Jan.17th.192.~ in order that they might be
able to attend. .

Trustee Durbin presented an ordinance relative to the establishing and
maintaining of Stock yards.slaughter houses.etc. within the City of Vernon
and establishing a district wherein same may be established and maintained
Motion was duly made,seconi4d and carried that this ordinance be put to a
vote of the people and placed upon the ballot as proposition No.2 at the
special election of Feb.15th.194a.
Ordinance NO.430 upon motion of Trustee Kniffin,seconded by Trustee Leonis
and carried was amended to include Proposition No.2.
Motion was then duly made by Trustee Furlong.seconded by Kniffin and carried
whereupon Ordinance NO.430 as amended was duly read for the seoond time.
Upon motion of Trustee Kniffintseconded by Trustee Furlong and carried by
the following votetOrdinance Uo.230 passed its third reading.
Ayes: Trustees KniffintLeonis,Durbin,Furlong and Hornaday
l~oes: Hone.
There being no further business motion was duly madetseconded and carried
that the meeting adjourn.
