REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
17 9~OO A.M.
on the ~ day of January 1922 , 191 , atmf o'clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
Kniffin.Durbin.Hornaday.Leonis and J.J.Furlong.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
None
President Trustee

The minutes of the meeting, held on
January 10th 1922. 191 , were: read and approved.
Application of the Southern Calif.Tel.Co. for permission to burn tree
trimmings and brush east of Alameda st and Horth of East 37th St was
read and approved.
Application of the So.Cal.Gas Co. for an excavation permit at 4900
Pacific Blvd. for a service connection was read and approved.

Application of ~tts.R.Williams for a permit to build for the purpose of
a resturant at 2231 East 38th St was read and denied.
Application of John Monkoff for a resturnat permit at 38~7 Santa Fe Ave.
was read and referred to the police dept.
Application of A.E.Klubinkin for a permit to build and maintain a slaugher
house on Lot 16 of the John H.Taylor tract was read and denied on account
of drainage.
Application of H..H'. Ware for a permit wo build a new office building at,
2146 East 38th St was read and approved.
Application of Baron Long for permission to rU11 a resturant at 49th and
Santa Fe Ave was read and ~pproved.
Financial report on the City of Vernon for the month of December 1921
was read and referred to the finance committee.
Application of the Wilshire Oil Co. for a franchise to build and oFerate
a pipe line from the eastern City limits on ~6th St to their plant was
read and the ordinance granting said franchise was read for the first
time.
An ordinance regulating the hauling of Rubbish in the City of Vernon wa.s
read for the first time.
