REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, count.y of Los Angeles, and State of California\ was held
,,9:30 a.M.
on the 'Ith day of February ,19~2, at. 0' clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
J.J.Furlong.Kniffin.Durbin.Iornaday.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
J.B.Leonis.
President Trustee J.J.Furlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on

191 , were: read and approved.
Application of the Wilshire Oil Co. for a franchise on East Z6th st.
was read and u.pon motion duly made.8econded and carried was laid over
until Feb.2lst.19~2 to enable several members of the Board to review
the same.
App1icatio,n of the Los Angeles Gas & Electric Corp. for an excavation
permi t at 4412 Hawthorne St for a service connection was read and
approved.
The following applications of the Southern Calif.Gas Co. for excavation
permits were read and approved.

S.W.Corner ~lst St and Pacific Blvd.
3846 Santa Fe Ave
2269 E.51st St.
North side of Vernon Ave cO' east of Santa Fe Ky.
2430 E.~3rd st.
2011 E.~4th st.
0420 Santa ble Ave.

4890 Pacific Blvd.
Application of the Rees Blow Pipe Mfg.Co. for a building permit at 37th
and Alameda Sts. was read and approved.
Application of the Calif.Dressed Beef co. for a building permit at Blk.
A Commercial Tract was read and approved.
Application of w.P.Moyan for a building permit at 51st and Pacific Blvd.
was read and approved.
Application of the Vernon Commercial Co. for a permit to install a cooker
to render fats was read and laid over.
Application of Marie Gordon for a permit to conduct a resturant a~ 2000
East Vernon Ave. upstairs was read and approved subject to police regulatia
Application of the General Petroleum Corp.for a franchise to lay a pipe
line on East 26th St. was read and laid over for examination.
Co-.un1cation from the States Prison Vlarden at San Qu.entin relative to the
sale of Flags by the prison was read and referred to the City Clerk wita
instructions to communicate with the Warden and advise him that when we
are in the market for a flag we will be glad to communicate with hia.

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON DB HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:-
That maps known as Tracts lio. 4'166,4881,4'1'1&,be and the same are herebi
adopted.

In the matter of JoAn Monkoff who applied on January l'lth 1922. for
a permit to run a resturaat at 382.'1 Santa. Fe Ave. and which at that
ti.e was referred to the poliee department for investigation before
said permit would be ifant$i. The Police Dept. reported that Mr.
Monkotf was not the proper propri..tor to conduct said resturant owing
to the number of complaints comming to the attention of the Police
regarding this place. !he Police Dept. owing to the fact that Mr.
Monkotf has been running since Jan.l.1922 without having been issued
aay license took steps to close the resturant pending the issuing
of a license to Mr.Monkoff by the Board of Trustees or any other action
by the said Board to dispose of this case. The Board put this matter
over until the next meeting owing to the fact that there was not a
fUll Board at this meeting.
