REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of Cali~r~a, wasAheld
on the 1st day of August , 191 2~ atIMo' clock I. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
DurbintKniffintLeonis,and J.J.Furlong.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
Hornaday.
President Trustee J.J.Furlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on
July.18.1922. 191 , were: read and approved.
Applicati.on of the Los Angeles Casing Co. for a permit to operate a
business of manufacturing sausage casings was read and ordered referred
to Trustee Durbin for an investigation and a report.
Application of the Lankershim Packing Co. for a permit to operate a
Pack.ing House on the premises known as 3030 East Vernon Ave was read and
a.pproved.
Application of the Western Clay Products Co. for a building permit on
Lot No.1 of the Martinez Tract was read and laid over.
Application of the Southern California Telephone Co. for a permit to set
twp anchors at Slauson and Santa Fe Aves. was read and approved.
Applications of the Southern California Gas Co. for a service connection
permit at 2352 E.3~h St and3850 Santa Fe Ave were read and approved.
Ordinance No.240 being an ordinance granting the Southern Pacific Ry.Co.
the right to construct a railroad spur track on Center Ave.in the City
of Vernon was read for the seconded time.Upon motion duly made,seconded and
carried said ordinance was ordered passed for the second reading.The
adoption of ordinance Ho.240 to be continued until the third reading of
same.
There being no further business the meeting adjournedtupon motion duly
madetseconded and carried.
