RESOLUTION NO.22.4 Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Ternan fixing the tax ra.te of said eiti of Ternan for the year 1922-l92.3 for the purpose of raising revenue to o.arry on the various depar"b:l.ents of said 0.1 ty and to pay the bonded indebtedness thereof. TEE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF TERNON DO RESOLTE AS FOLLOIlS:- SECTION NO.1. That for the purpose of cletermining the tax rate,the City of Y~rnon shall be divided as follows; Ist;that portion \ known as the Old Oi ty t 2nd;that portion known as the R~ Tra.ct as. annexed in 1914;3rd.,.That portion known as the Frui"tlancl annexa.tion of 1914 and 4th. ,That por"tion known as the Indus"tria.l Terri"tory annexed in 192.A SECTION NO.2. There shall be,ancl there is hereby levied upon eaah. one hundred dollars worth of property in that portion of the Oi ty of Ternon hereina.bove referred to as the "Old City".e.t the valUe assessed by the County Assessor of the County of Los Angeles,State of Ca.l.ifornia.a.nd &8 the same may have been equalized by the Board of Supervisors of said eounty and State or b~ the Sta.te Board of Equa1i~a.t1on~of the Sta.te of California not including property taxable. for Sta.~e purposes under the provisions of Section l4 of Artiele 13 of the, Constitution of California for the purpose of ra.ising revenue to ~ on the various departments of the Cit.,. of TernCII. for the year 1922-1923, and to pay the bonded indebtedness of the Oit.,. of Ternan, the amount of which having been fixed and determined by Ordinance :No.239.~a tax in the S1Ul of 42. eents. Application of the Western Clay Products Co. for a building permit was read and laid over awaiting report. Application of C.O.Thrasher 2213 East 38th St for a building permit was read and approved. Application of M.Miller 2439 East Vernon for a sewer connection permit and a permit to excavate was read and referred to the City Engineer. Letter for the Automobile Club of Southern California with relation to the placing of an additional button at the intersection of East 37th St. and ~anta Fe Ave was read and ordered filed. Ordinance No.241 being an ordinance granting the Atchison,Topeka and Santa Fe Ry.Co. a corporation,its successors and assigns, the right,privilege and permission to lay,construct,maintain and operate a railroad spur track: across 29th street in the City of Yernon,and to change the location of an existing spur track as it crosses 29th street,in said City of Vernon was read for the first time. RESOLUTION NO.225. THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF YERlWn DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:- That Map known as Tract No.5434 be and the same is hereby approved and adopted. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of Resolution No.225 passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Yernon at a meeting thereof duly and regularly held on the 24th day of August,1922.
