19221205 Regular City Council Meeting - Minutes REGULAR MEETING. A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held '"co> on the ith day of December 1922 191 , at }i;~PCloCk ~ M. of ~$aid day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City ,. of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held. There were present at such meeting Trustees, J.J.~urlong.L.on1a.Durbin and Kniffin There were absent from such meeting Trustee, Iornada;J President Trustee J.J .Furlong presiding. The minutes of the meeting, held on Noveaber &lst.1922 191 , were: read and approved. Application of the Wilshire Oil Co. for a change in the franchise granted the. to lay a pipe line on East ~.th St. together with an ammended franchise and blue' print was read and upon motion dulJ aade.seconded and carried was referred to the Board for checking with the original. In the matter of the Los Angeles Gas and Electric Corporation asking for a return of a guarantee deposit of ~., .20 clai.ed by the. to have been deposited with the City of Ternon on July 29th 1921.0Ur records do not show that this amount was so deposited on that date.Therefore said amount cannot be re-e.bursed.
