A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of Catbf85nia, was~eld
on the 19th day of December 1~2&91 , aili 0' clock. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.

The minutes of the meeting, held on

Said Atlas Mixed Mortar Co. did present to the Board of Trustees

having been fixed by the Board of Trustees &8 .. sum. sufficient under the
terms of Ordinance 1~0.23'1 to insure the City of Vernon against. the
refilling of said pit.
Said Bond, the same being a surety bond issued by the Iartford
Accident and Indemni t1 Co. was duly examined by the Board.A aotion 1II'a8
then duly made by Trustee Leonis,seconded by Trustee Kniffin that said
undertaking be accepted by the Board.Said motion was duly carried and
the undertaking was accepted by the Board.
Motion was then made by Trustee Leonie seconded by Trustee Kniff1B
that said perai t be granted .Said motion was duly carried and said perm! t
was duly granted to the Atlas Mixed Mortar Co. to excavate said sand
pi t under the terms of Ordinance Bo .237 at location described uLot 3,
of the A.L.Ross Tract.&s per map recorded in Books 23 and 5i,a1; pages 8
and 72 respectively,.Miscellaneous Records,except that partmdescribedas
90%900 feet on the south line lease. to the Southern Pacific Comp~ for
awi tbh tr&ck.
The City Clerk was then ordered to issue permit to the Atlas ffixed
Mortar Co.under the terms of Ordinance 10.237.
