REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 2nd day of October ' 19123, atl~ 0' clock Ii- M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.

presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on 4th day of Sept
191 , were: read and adopted
Excavation permit of the South Los Angeles Land & Water Co.,
for a pipe line, beginning 150 ft west of Ross Street and running
160 ft on the north side of 38th Street, was read and granted.
Excavation permit of the Southern California Gas Co., for a gas
connection at 2326 East ~8th Street was read and granted.
Application for a bulding permit by the Calif-Oregon Paper Mills
to erect a fininshing room was referred to the City Engineer.
Report of the Health Officer regarding the Stauffer Chemical Co.,
was read and ordered filed.

Letter of the Board of Public Works/regarding the hau~ing of
Rubbish into the City of Vernon,' was laid over for two weeks at
the reqQest of Mr. L.P.Boar~an.
