REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 11th day of March , 19Je4, at ;ibo' clock i. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,

There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
Hornaday
President Trustee J.J.Furl@ng presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on

Aupplicatien for permission to opeTate a grintfing plant, by H.E.Korns
and others, at 2241 East 38th street w&S read and granted.
Rep,rt from the City Engineer on Reservoir bids ,WhiCh were sUbmitted.to ?-
the City of Vernon, March 4th 1924. The City Engineer recommended that
the bid of K~nney & Westerhouse be accepted. A motion was duly made,
seconded and carried that the contract be awarded to Kinney & Westerhouse.
Report from the City ~ngineer on the Steel Tank and Tower bids which were
submitted to the City of Vernen on March 4th 1924. The City Engineer
reCelllllli"110eO that the bid of the Pittsburg - Des Moines Steel Company be
&-eceptid.. A motion ~was duly made, seconded and carried that the Pi ttsburg
DosMoines St..l Company be awarded the contract en the ije.l ~ank and Tower.
Report from the City Enginner en Venturi Meters bids which were submitted
to the City of Vornon, on March 4th 1924. The City Engineer recommended that
the Bid of theVwaterV.orks Supply Ce., be accepted. A motion was duly made,
seconded and carried that the Water Works Supp~y Company be awarded the
centract fer furnishing the City with Venturi Meter.

laid over until the next meeting so that he could complete his report of
