ADJ OURNED
REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 19th day of March , 19324, at 236' clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
Kniffin. Durbin & Furlong
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
Hornaday & 1e.nis
President Trustee J.J.Furlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on
191 , were:
Application for permission by the Southern California lelephone Company.
t. set two 35 foot poles five:3C:> feet poles and twe anchers en north side
of 27th Street between Santa to Avenue and the end of 27th Street, and two
40 fo.t poles and two anchors""en south side of 51st street between Alameda,
Street and Santa Fe Avenue was read and granted upon the condition that
these poles shall be moved te ot~er locations at any time on order of the
BIard of Trustees of the City of Vernon.
Application fer an extension of 60 days was granted te the Los Ange.es
Paving Company for the improvement of East 27th Street in the City of
Vernon.
Application for an excavation permit by the Southern Calif. Gas Company
for a gas connection at 3233 Last 26th street was read and granted.

Application for an excavation permit by the Southern California Gas
Cempany for a gas connection ail Alameda Street, 9360 feet north from
Slausen Avenuet Vias read and granted. \,'
Application from the Censumers Rock & Gravel Clmpany for p.~issi.n to
mine gravel In the DeTurk estate was read and laid over.
Application for a killing permi t by V;J/.C.Allen & Sam Hoffman on property
known as Lot 17 Jehn R. Tayler Tract was read and referred to' the City
Sngineer and City Attorney.

Bid ef the Worthington Pump Co., was opened and read.

Bid ef th~ GGuld Pump Ce., was opened and read.
Bid ef the Sterling Pump Co., was opened and read.
Bid ef the Sprado Pump Ce., was opened and read.

Bid of the Layne Bewler Pump Co . , was opened and read.

The City Engine.r recernmendedthat bids on Fire Hydrants submitted to the City
ef Vernon, March 4th 1924 be rejected and readvertised.
