REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 1.5:1 day of April , 19124, at ~Oo' clock i.- M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said .City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
Kniffin, Durbin & Furlong
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
Hornaday & Leonia
President Trustee J.J.Furlcn~ presiding.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, and the following
business put in order.
The City Engineer, Howard McCurdy recemmended tha.t the bid of the .=
Sprado Company, OD pUIDJS submitted to the City of Vernon, M&roh 18th
1924,be a.ccepted, as stated in item 4 of notioes inviting pwnpa and
moters.
Application for an exca.vation permit by the Crescent Refinin~ Ce.,
to excavate in East 27th Street, from a point a~proximately 35'
east of the east rail of ~anta F. Ry., for the purpose of laying
4" screw pipe line to connect fro m Vernon Oil ~efining Ce., 2500
east 16th St., to Crescent _efining Ce. 2460 E. a8th Street was
read and granted.
Application for an excavation ~.rmit by the Wilshire Oil Ce., te
excavate in East 37th Street, fer the J>ur)ose of lajing 2. :four inCA
eil lines was read and granted.
Applicatien f.r an excavation perm.it by the Los Angeles C~ttle & Meat
Ce., for an excavation in Magnoila Ave., from Cypress Ave., and acrOliE
Vernon Ave., for the purpose of Elacing an emergency water pipe lini
of 2. inch pipe for building and cleaning purposes in a slau.ghter
