A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 18th day of September ,19124, at 23g, clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
J.J.Furlong, Kniffin, Levy, Leonis and Durbin.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
None
President Trustee
J.J .Furlong
presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on
191 ,were:
This special meeting was called for the purpose of awarding the contract
for the new city hall and fire departmant.
It was moved by Leonis and seconded by Durbin that the bid of J.D.
Sherer & Son for the construction of the City Hall and Fire Department
be accepted, 15rovidingthat.the extra cement work shall not cost more
than .40~ per cubic foot. Motion carried.
It Was moved by 1eonis and seconded by Durbin that all checks and bidders
hond be returned, except that of J.D.Sherer & Son. Motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn until Sept. 30th 1924,
at 10: A.M.
