ADJJURNED
REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 10th day of October ' 19J4 , at 2 0' clock P. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
Leonis, Kniffin. Durbin.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
J.J.Furlong " Levy
President Trustee J.J.Furlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on
IJctober 7th 19~4, were: laid over.
CNling to the absence of President J.J.Furlong. a motion was duly made,
seconded and carried that Trustee Leonis be appointed Chairman during
the absence of President Earlong.
The regular meeting was adjourned to this date for the purpose of
consideration recomendation of the Ci t~T Engineer in reference of faulty
fittings in the water system.
A motion was dllly made. seconded and carried that an inspectll1r be
appointed to over see the casting of fittings furnished by the Keystone
Iron ~ Steel Company to the City of Vernon.
Mr. Howard McCurdy the Gi ty Engineer recommended tha.t Air. Means of his
office be appointed inspector of this particular work as he has had
previous experience with the fOlludry work submitted by the Keystone
Iron ~ Steel Company.
11:-. Geor~e Mi tche11. contractor for the layin~ of water ma~ns. f?r the
Clty of ernon. was present and addressed the Hoard ou the lnferlor
fittings that were supplied b~/ the Keystone Iron .. Steel Compa.ny, and
stated that some of the castings were in very bad condition.
There being nc further bllsiness the meeting adjourned to the call of the
chair.
