REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 21st day of October , 19~4 , at J3) 0' clock R. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,

The City Clerk was instructed ~o open bids su~mitted for the constructim
of pwnp house fat the Clty of vernon.
The bids received from Fred R. Johnson, walterE.Warne, J.F.Kobler and
J.D.Sher_ I; Sons, were opened and a motion was duly made, seconded
and carried that the bids be referred to the City Engineer and the
architect for checking and a report.
The followinrbids were received for the construction of a warehouse for
the City of ernon, J.D.Sherer . Sons and W.M.~edbetter , Co., A motion
was duly made,. seconded and carried that the bids on the warehouse be
referred to the City Engineer for checking and report.

Ord 3.30: An ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon

streets of the City of Vernon, wa.s read and QPona. motion duly made,
seconded and carried pa.ssed the second reading,.
Ord 330: Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried the aboTe ordinance
was read for the third time and adopted.
Ord Int. An ordinance of intention to open,Widen and extend East 26th
331 Street in the City of Vernon, was read and upon motion duly
made, seconded and carried received a second reuding.

Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried the above ordinance
was read for the third time and adopted.
:New business.
A resolution was duly made, seconded and adopted, approving Map(;of Tract
number 8610.
Application for an excavation permit by the Los Angeles Gas _uElectric
Company for the rep'dring of their service on Ea.st Vernon avenue near
St. Charles avenue.
Application for an excavation bermit by the Southern Calif Gas Company,
for gas service at ~800 East 28th Street and south side of 44th street,
480' west from Downey Road Was read and granted.
A plication for an excavation permit by the Associated Oil COIDtJany for
the repairing of curb and the laying of sidewalk on East 28th Street was
read and granted.

reccommended jhat they be issued bui1aing permits.
Application filed by R.E.~lilcut for position as motorcycle officer was read
and ordored filed.
A motion was made that the recommendation of Richard D. King the architect
for the new City Hall that~in the event the ter:ri cotta fot the City hall
does not arrive in time that the contractor J.D.Sherer Ie Son be granted a
reasonable extention of time. It was moved and seconded that this recommendation
be adopted. Ayes: Knif~ in, .j.;eonis, Dllrbin and ]'urlong. .Noes: none
