REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 2nd' day of December ,19~4 , at ~ 0' clock.ip. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
Levy, Kniffin, Leonis,Furlong.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,

J.J.Furlong
presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on

Moved by Levy ani seconded by Durbin that the minu.tes of the previous
meetings held on the 18th day of November, 1924 and on Wednesday the
26th day of l~ovember, 1924, be read and approved. Motion Garried.

Ord. Ordinance l~o. 336 was read by title for the second reading.

as read. Motion carried,
The City Engineer at this time recollilllended the adoption of ~esolu.tion
No. 365, a resolution granting the City o-p: Los Angeles permission to
pave a portion of Alameda t.ltreet.
Moved by Durbin and seconded by Levy that Resolution l~o. ~b be I;;I.dopted.
Motion carried.
NEii BlJSINESS.
Applications for building permits Nos. 407, 425, 434, 436, 437 and 438
WEee read, all bearing the approval of the City Engineer.
It was moved by Kniflin and seconded by Levy thut permits be issued on
the above applications. Motion carried.
Applications for permits for excayutioris, being applications 426 and
435, smne having tha approval of the City ~ngineer, were read.
Moved by Levy and seconded by Kniffin that permits for excavl;;I.tionbe
given to the Southern California Gas Company, as prayed for in said
applications. Motion carried.
Res. Resolu.tion No. 338 abandoning proceedings for the lIacating of a
~ portion of Jun~or Street, was read.
Moved by Levy seconded by KniLin that Resolution No. 338 be adopted.
Motion carried.
Ord; Ordinance Ho. 336, ordering the vacating and abandoning a portion
336 of East 29th Street, was re,d in full for the first reading.
Moved by Durbin, secon,ded by Kniffin that Ordinance 336 be passed for
the first reading. Motion carried.

West 115 feet of Junior Street was read in full for the first
reading.
Moved by Levy and seconded by Yilliffin that Ordinance of Intention No. 338
be passed for the first reuding. Motion carried.
At this time the City Engineer recommended the appointmw..t of as inspectar
to inspect the work of the laying the conduit on Santa ]'e Ave., by the
Southern California Telephone Company.
Moved by Durbin, seconded by Kniffin that the City Engineer be instructed.
to employ an inspector to look after this work. Motion carried.
