REGULAR MEETING.

A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 13th day of January , 19:26, at Ja) 0' clock R. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
Furlong, Kniffin, LeTY, Leonis and Levy.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
None
President Trustee J.J.Furlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on
January 6th 1925
191 , were: laid over.
The follov/ing applications were read from the Southern CQlai:f ornia Gas
Company.
Application No. 472; for a permit to repair service on Boyle Avenue.
Application No. 473; for excavation permit to repair service on Boyle Ave.
Application No. 475; for gas service on sou.th side of Hol&.bird avenue.
Moved by Du.rbint seoonded by Kniffin that all applications be filed and
permits granted. Motion carried.
Appli cation lJo. 461; for the erection of a. storage shed for the l~orth Pacific
Construction Company was read. Moved by Levy, seconded by Kniffin that the
application be filed and permit granted. Motion Carried.
Appli~ation No. 474; for a permit for the construction of a warehouse by
Florance S.Stanton was read. Moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin that the
application be fileq and permit granted. Motion carried.
Application No. 478 of the Southern California Telephone CompanYt request-
ing & permit to place 3f! creosoted wood duct across 38th Street, East of
Ross Street was read. Moved by Durbint seoonded by Leonis that a.pplication
be filed and p~rmit granted. Motion carried.
Application No. 477 of the Southern California Telephone Company re~uest-
ing permit to place a 3!'creosoted wood duct on Vernon and Santa Fe Ave. t
one at Santa Fe and Pacific Blvd.,one at Fruitland and Malabar Streets and
at the intersection of Alameda and Slaus on avenues was read. Moved by
Leonist seconded by Kniffin that application be filed and permits granted.
Motion carried.
Communication from Woolwine and Giesler was read. Moved by Durbin. seconded
by Kniffin that same be filed. Motion carried.
Communication from the Southern ?acific Company was read. Moved by Leonis
seconded by Durbin that same be referred to the City Engineer. Motion carr~
Communication from E.J.Stanton ~ Son was read. Moved by Leonist seconded by
Levy that same be referred to City Engineer. Motion carried.
Co~nunication from Ada A. Pettit was read. MOTed by Kriiff~nt seconded by
Durbin jhat same be filed. Motion carried.
Communication from the Long Turney Company was read for permission to burn
rubbish within the corporate limits of the City of Vernon. Moved by Durbin
seconded by Yilliffin that same be denied. Motion carried.
Communication from the Union Iron Works, was read. Moved by Leonist seconded
by Levy that same be referred to the City Engineer. Motion carried.
