REGULA~ MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 21st day of January , 19~5 , at J@ 0' clock ~. M. of'
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
J.J.Furlong, Kniffin, Leonis, Durbin and Levy
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
None
President Trustee J.J .Furlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held~vious to this meeting was on
motion by Mr. Levy, seconded by Kniffin aI~.(\ncarr~~i\e:laid over until the
next regular meeting. '
Bes: A resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Vernon, determini~
344 that the public interest and necessity demanded the acquistion by said
city of certain municipal improvements set forth in said resolution,
was read.
Moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin that Resolution 344 be adopted. Motion
carriel by the following vote: Ayes Leonis, Kniffin, Durbin, Levy and Furlong.
Noes none.
Moved by Durbin, seconded by Kniffin that owing to the fact that the Treasurer
I. Scheider, had failed to qualify in the time and manner required by law
for the office of City Treasurer, that said office of City Treasurer be
declared vacanj. Motion carried.
Moved by Durbin, seconded by Kniffin that Franklin G. French be appointed Oity
Treasurer of the City of Vernon until the next general election, and that he
assume the duties of his office upon filing with the City a bond in the sum of
$50,000.00 and to take the oath of office in the manner and form required by
law. Motion carried.
Moved by Durbin, seconded by Kniffin that the City Clerk, be instructed to
advertise for bids for a Orane, to be used on the City's property. Motion
carried.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourn.
