REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
on the 28 day of April , 19:f5, at ~ 0' clock +. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
Furlong, Kniffin,Leonis Durbin & Levy
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
None
President Trustee J.J.~urlong presiding.
The minutes of the meeting, held on
April 21st l~5 , were: laid over.
The City Engineer Dresented a diagram for the approval of the Board of
Trustees of the assessment district for the improvement of East 25th
Street, Alameda Street, East 37th Street and East 38th Street, by the
construction of a sanitary sewer.
It was moved by Durbin, seoonded by Levy that the diagrwn as pl'esented
by the City ~l1gineer be approved. Motion carried.
REBO INT: 357, Resolution of Intention No. 357 was read.

It Was moved by Durbin seconded by levy that Resolution of Intention NJ
357 be adopted. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
APP.L: 549, of Geo. E. Curtis Company for building permit was read.
It was moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin jha.t the application be filied
and the permit granted. Motion carried.
APPL: 551, of the Austin Company for a building permit for the California
Oregon Pa.per Mills was read.
It was moved by ~eonis seconded by Durbin that the application be filed
and the permit granted. Motion carried.
~emands on the Construction bilnd in the sum of $19,ili.25 were read.
It was moved by ~evt and seconded by Kniffin that the demands be allowed
and warrants drawn for the same. Motion aarried.
Demands in the sum of ~l72i.05 on the general fund were read.
It was moved by Levy and seconded by Kniffin that the demands be allowed
and warrants drawn on the tresury for the same. Motion carried.
It was moved iy ~eonis and seconded by ~evy that a reoess be taken until
4:30 P.M. Motion-carried.
The Board of Trustees reoonvened at 4:30 PjK.
The Trustees present were: Messrs. Furlong. Kniffin, Leonis, Durbin and Lev,v
The Trustees absent were: llone.
It was moved by Leonis seoonded by Durbin that the Street Superintendent
be instruoted to patoh the holes on 25th and Alameda Streets and on the
26th street and the bridge, and on East 38th Street and East Vernon Ave.,

Motion carried.
It was moved by teonis9 seoonded by Durbin that the street Superintendent
be instructed to~notify all property owners on Al~eda Street in writing
to remOTe all property oft of the Street and set same baok as directed
by the City Engineer. Motion carried.
It was mOTed by Leonis seconded by Durbin that the City Clerk be instructed
to advertise for'bids for the patching of all hole. in the city streets
in the City of Vernon for the period of six months. Motion carried.
The City Clerk presented to the Board of Trustees two signed petitions for
the annexation of certain property to the City of Vernon. It was mOTed by
Leonis seconded by Durbin that the same be referred to the City Clerk to
eheek with the Great Register to ascertain if there were sufficient names
thereon. Motion carried.
There being no further business9 it was mOTed by Durbin seconded '1' LeYY
that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
