REGULAR MEETING.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Vernon, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, was held
10 A.
on the 26th day of June , 19:125, at eo' clock X. M. of
said day at the regular meeting place of said Board in said City
of Vernon, which said time and place is the time and place fixed by
ordinance for regular meetings of the said Board to be held.
There were present at such meeting Trustees,
Leonis, 'Levy, Durbi:tltil.;hg.Furlong.
There were absent from such meeting Trustee,
Kniffin.
President Trustee J.J.Furlong presiding.

A motion was made by Leonis and seconded by Levy that the/minutes
of the meeting of June 23rd 1925 be'lald.'dver.
A contract between the Cities of Los Angeles and Vernon was read.
Moved by Leonis and seconded by Levy that same be accepted and
approved. Motion carried.
A communication from the Stauffer Chemical Company was read.
Moved by Leonis and seconded by Durbin that same be filed. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Leonis and seconded by Durbin that the stipulation
mf injunction between Bandini de Baker Estate and the City of Vernon
served on City of Vernon by Plaintiff be accepted. Motion carried.
The Finance Comrnittee approved the withdrawl of $75,000.00 from ~ewer
Dist. No.1 Fund and $ 150,000.00 from the -eneral Fund and converted
into drafts owing to small capitalization of depositary.
A noti~e of hearing before the Railroad Commission regarding applicatiion
for permit to construct railread crossing at 49th and Alameda Streets
was read.

Moved by Leonis and seconded by Durbin that the City Attorney and the
City Engineer be appointed to represent the City of Vernon. Motion carried~
At this time the City Engineer requested additional time for reporting
on bids received June 23rd 1925.

A motion was made by Durbin and seconded by Leonis that the City Engineer
be granted additional time to report on bids received on June 23 rd 1925.
WIotion carried.
It was moved by Leonis and seconded by Levy that the meeting adjourn
to 1:30 P.M. Motion carried.

Meeting of the Beard of Trustees of the City of Vernon, adjourned from
meeting of 10: A.M. June 26th 1925.
The meeting was calmed to,order at 1:30 P.M. by Chairman J.J.Furlong.
The Trustees present were: Messrs. Levy, Furlong and Durbin.
The Trustees absent were: Messrs Leonis and Kniffin.

Moved by Levy and seconded by Durbin that applications be approved
and permits granted. Motion carried.
The City Engineer requested additional time to report on well bids.
Moved by Durbin and seconded by Levy that the City Engineer be grant-
ed to June 27th, 1925 to report on well bids. Motion carried.
The City Engineer reconooended the bid of the Kimball Pump Co., be caccepted.
A motion was made by Levy and seconded by Durbin ~o reject all bids and
return checks and bonds submitted to the City of Vernon for the furnish-
ing of deep well pump, excepting the bid submitted by the Kimball Pump Co.
It was moved by ~e~J and seconded by Durbin that the Kimball Pump
Company be award~d the contract for furnishing plli'Tlp for lliell No. 3
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Levy and seconded by Durbin that the Fairbanks -
Morse Company, be awarded the contract for furnishing motor for pump.
Motion aarried.
It was moved by Levy and seconded by Durbin tlillt the meeting adjourn
until 9 A.M. June 27th 1925. Motion carried.
