TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VEImON HELD ON THE 26th
day of APRIL, 1926, AT THE CITY HALL, 4305 Santa
Fe AT-enue, VERN'ON, CAL I FOmnA.
The meeting was called to order by the Presiden t,
J. J. Furlong, at eight o'clock P.M.
The trustees present were: Leonis, Durbin, Levy and
Furlong.
The trustees absent were: RDiffin.
The f'ollowim;g demands on the General Fund were presented:

Moyed by Levy, seconded by Durbin, that the demands be
allowed and warrants drawn. Motion carried.
At this time Fire Commissimner Durbin reported to the
Board that George Minick's work as acting Chief of the Fire Depart-
ment was very unsatisfactory in that department and recommended that
the off'ice of Chief of the Fire Department be declared vacant and
that the City Clerk be instructed to notify George Minick in 1fri tiDg
of the action of the Board and that the office be vacant from and
after the date c.f suell notification until re-established by the Board
of Trustees.
Moved by Levy, seconded by Leonie. tha.t the recommenda-
tion of the Fire Commissio1'1er be adopted and tha.t the office of
Fire abie! be declared vacant from and after the notiee served by
the City Clerk until same is refilled by the Board. Motion carried.
At this time the City Clerk read a communication from
Drs. French and Early. In said communication the doctors agreed to
have their istablishment called t he VernOR Emergency Rospi tal, with-
out cost to the City.
Moved by Durbim\, seconded by Levy, tha.t the communica-
tion be laid over for one week for action. Motion carried.
