TRUSTEES HELD ON THE 7th DAY OF J11NE" ~926, AT TEE
CITY HALL, 4305 SANTA F.E AVEN'U'E, VERNON, CALIFORNIA.
The meeting was called to Grder b.1 the President.

MGved by Levy, secGndedby Durbin, that the minut~s
of the previGus meeting be laid Gver until the next regUlar
meeting. MGtiGn carried.
At this time the Secretary repGrted that he had Gn
his desk bids on deep well pumps and alsO' fire pumps and also
on electric mGtors.
MGved by LeGnie, secGnded by Durbin, that the City
Clerk open the bids. MGtiGn carried.
The City Clerk then opened and read the bids on
deep wel~ pumps frGm the following firms:: F..:1. Kimbal.l. Company".
Pacific Pump Works, Layne-:Bow~er Corporation, Byron-1a.ckson Pump
Company.
Moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin. that all bids be
referred to the City Engineer for checking and repGrt at the
next regular meeting. MGtion carried.
Moved by Durbin" seconded by Leonis, that the hearing
on said assessment be continued until the next regular meeting
of the Board, to-wit:: on June 21, 1925. Motion carried.
At this time the City Engineer prese~ted the dia~
of the assessment district for the improvement of Pacific:
Boulevard, under Resolution of Intention No. 373.

ing and. publication ef the Netice ef Filing Assessment were en
file ;in his effice and that no. written appeals er ebjectio.ns
bad been filed in his eff1G~i3 prier to. the day sat fer hea.ring.
The President ef the Beard then a.sked if there were a.ny inter-
ested persens present desiring to. be heard in the matter and no.
ene respended. All. interested persens having been givelll1 full
oppertunity to. shew ca.use why the said assessment sheuld net be
cenfirmed., all. ebjectio.ns presented having been heard. and f'ull.y
censidered and the Beard having been satisfied with the cerrect-
ness ef the assessment" thereupen Trustee Levy meved that the

Trustees recommend to the street Superintendent andeity C1erk
that in the future all bonds furnished to the City for the doing
of any work inside the City and the Furnishing of materia~s
should wherever possible be surety bonds. Motion carried.
