UDIUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF VERNON HELD ON TEE
13th DAY OF DECDBER. 1926. AT THE CITY HALL OF THE
CITY OF VERNON. 4.305 SANTA FE AVENUE, VERNON.

The meeting was called to order by the President,
:r.. J. Furlong. at 8:QO o'clock P.. :M:.
The trustees present ,vere~ Leonis, Durbin and
Furlong.
The trustees absent were:: Kniffin and Levy.
It was moved by Leonis and seconded by Durbin th.at
the minutes of the meetings of November 15, 22, 29 and Dec-
ember 6. 1926. be laid over until the next meeting. 'Motion
carried.
At this time the City Clerk announced that this was
the time and place set in the notice of sale of franchise
for the opening of the bids for the said franchise, and that
he had one bid upon his desk.
It was moved by Durbin and seconded by Leonis that
the C1..erk be instructed to open the bid.. Moti on carried.
At this time the City Clerk opened and read the bid
of the General Petroleum Corporation of California, a Delaware
corporation, which bid was in the sum of One Hundred Dollars
($1..00.00). for the pipe line franchise. covering the streets
set forth in the notice of sale.
It 'Was moved by Durbin and seconded by Leonis that
the franchiee be awarded to the General Petroleum Co.rporation
of California, a corporation. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 393: An Ordinance gra.nting to the General Petrol-
eum Corporation of California a. franchiee, granting sa.id corpor-
ation the right to lay and maintain pipes for t~nsportation
and distribution of mineral oils and products thereof, and to
construct and maintain a telephone line in connection therewith
through thepublic streets of the City of Vernon was read for
first reading. A

It was moved by Durbin and seconded by ~ that
Ordinance No. 393 be passed for first reading.llotion carried.
It was moved by Le onis and seconded by Durbin that
the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
