The meeting was called to. order "by the :Mayar. ;r. ;r.

It was moved by Leonis and secanded by Durb:in that the
reading af the minutes of the meet iugs af .january 3rd" 9th. 16th.
and 23rd. and February 6th" be laid over until the next regular
meeting.. Motion carried.
At this time the Ci tv Clerk annoUllced that this was the
t:iim.e and place set in the noti~e inviting sealed proposals or bids
an Topeka Avenue" and tha.t he had the bids on his desk..
It was maved by ~onis a.nd seconded by Durbin that the
bLis be opened. Motion carried.
The City Clerk then opened and read the bids of the
Los Angeles Paving Campany. Ihe Griffith crampany and Gearge fl..
Oswal.d.
It was mov~d by Durbin and secanded by Levy ~t the bids
be referred to. the City Engineer far checking and repart. Motio,n
carried.
The City Clerk then' annouhced that this was the t me

BOulevard. and that he had the bids an his desk.
It was moved by Leonis and seconded by Durbin that the
bids be opened. Mation carried.
The City Clerk then opened and read. the bids of the
Los Angeles Paving Company and George H. Oswald.
It was moved by Durbin and seconded by Levy that the
bids li.e referred. to the City Engineex for checking and report.

A communicat ion from Ie. F. Thompson for a permit to
disma.nt~e junk aut omobiles and trucks on Lots 1.5 e.nd. 1.6 on East
Vernon Avenue nea.r Downey Road. wa.s read.
It wa.s moved by Durbin and seconded by Leonis that the
same be :eeferred to the Police Department for investigation and
rep ort .. ][at ion ca.rried.
A ccmmmnica.tion from the Owens Park Lumber Compan:y. :re-
questing a permit be issued to .john Monkoff to haul their ~bbish
through the streets of Vernon to a dumping ground outside of the
City . was read.
It was moved by Durbin and seconded. by Leonis that the
parmi t be grant'ed in the marae of the Owens Park Lumber Company.
