requeating a permit for the storing of pipe in the aU Vernon
Ball Park near Santa Fe Avenue. was read.
It was moved by Levy and seconded by Durbin that the
e.ommunication be referred to' the City Clerk for add..itianal in-
formatian. Motion carried.

It was moved by Levy and seconded by Durbin that the
cormnunic:ation be filed and the permit g~ted. Motion carried.
ORDllT.AN'CE. NO.. 410: An. Ordinance regulating and C:'onstruction and
maintenance of ga.rages.. filling sta.tions and service stations _
within the aity of Vernon. was read. for a. first reading.
It Vias moved by Durbin a.nd seconded by Levy that Ordinance
No. 410 be passed for first reading. Motion carried.
It. was moved by Durbin and seconded by Levy that the (n ty
Clerk notify all. business people in the Los Angeles Terminal Market
that they axe now in the c-:ity of Vernon" and to request them to
take out a. license for conducting their business. Motion carried.
At this time the City Attorney reported that the Petition
for Annexat ion heretofore filed by LeRoy 1\f. Edwards of Los Angeles
was legally insufficient. and recommended \hat the same be filed.
It Was moved by Durbin and seconded by Levy tha.t the
recommendat ion of the City At torney be concurred in. Mot ion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 411: An Ordinance regulating business l.ieenses i1'1:
the Cri ty of Vernon. was read for first reading.
It Wa.2 moved by Durbin and seconded by Leonis that
Ordinance No. 4ll be pa..s.sed for first reading. Motion carried.
