1'he meeting was called to order by the Mayor,
J. J.. Furlong.
C'ouncilmen present were: Furlong, Leonis, Durbin
and Levy.
Councilmen absent were: Khiffin
Minutes of the previous meeting of December 17th,
1928, Were read.
It was moved by Levy, seco.nded by Durbin that the
minutes be a.pproved as read. Motion carried.
Communication from H. H. Isa.a.ca, Refinery Inspector,
regarding application of the Pan Pacific Oil Company for a
can filling plant to be located on East 30th Street, was read.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Duro.in that the
matter be laid over untiL the next meeting. owing to a defect
in the applicat ion. Mot ion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 418: .An ordinance regulating and licensing metal
Junk dealers in the City of Vernon, was read for second reading.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin that
Ordinance No. 418 be passed for second reading. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 418: An ordinance regulat ing and licensing
metal junk dealers in the City of Vernon, was read for third
and final reading.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin that Ordinance
No. 418 be adopted. Motion ca.rried.
App.lication of Geo. '....1. Brady and H. O. Wilson for
permit to conduct a pottery we-iness a.t 2312 East 52nd Street,
to be known as the "Cra.ft Pottery Companylt, was read.

It was moved by Durbin. seconded by Levy that
the communication be laid over until the next regular meeting.
