Motion earried. At this time the City Clerk a.nnounced that he had bids upon his desk from the Wm. P.. Neil Company for the removal of buildings upon that portion of Soto street heretofore dedicated to the City.. It was moved by Leonis and seconded by Durbin that the bids "he opened. Motion carried. At this time the City Clerk opened the bids of the Wm. P.. Neil Company, Inc., and read same to the COUllcil, which were as follows: The cost of the work as specified by the City Engineer as Item No. 1 on the specifications, complete . . . . . . . . . .. . . . $1192.35 The cost of the work on Item No. 2 on the specifications, as per notice invitiD.g sealed bids. . .. . .. . .. . . . . .. .. ... 504.00 The cost of the work on Item No. 3 on the specific'a'tions . . . . . . .. . ... 463.00 The cost of the work on Item No. 4 of said specifications . . .. .. .. . . . ... 960.30 It was moved by Leonis and seconded by Durbin that the bids be ret'erred to the City Engineer for checking and report. The City Engineer being then present, examined and checked said bids and report to the City Council that the bids were reasQnable and .ere within the estirrate, and rec- ommended that said contract for doing the work be given to the Wm.
