Resolution No. 578, a Resolution O'f the City Ooun,cil of the City af Vernon, declaring their intention to improve East Twenty-sixth Street, as set forth in said Resolution of Intentioo, was read. Moved by Durbin, seconded by Leonis, that Resolu- tion of Intention No. 578 be adopted. 'Motion carried. At this time the City Attorney presented a stipul&- t10n in reference to certain a.ctions pending in the Superior and Federal courts, wherein the City of Vernon was defendant J, and a.dvised the Council that, in his opinion, the stipulations Should be signed. 'Moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin, that the reeam- mendat ion of the City Attorney be complied with and the Mayor and the City Attorney be instructed to sign the stipula- tions. 'Motion carr~ed. At this time the City Engineer rep.orted that, in his opinion, the bid of the Rickey Pipe &: Supply Company for a. spr'inkler was the best bid. Moved by Durbin, seconded by Levy, that the matter be re-ref'arred to the City Engineer and Councilmen Durbin a.nd Levy for report. Motion carried. It wa.s moved by Leonis, seconded by Levy, that the City Clerk be instruc:ted to a.dveDtise for bids for a street grader. 'Motion carried. AcC'eptance. by the Richfield Oil Compa..ny of the terms and conditions of Ordinance No. 432 for a pipe line in the city, was read. Moved by Durbin, seconded by Levy, that the same be filed. Motion carried. Report of the Police Department was read. Moved by Leonis, seoonded by Levy, thLt the same be filed. Mot ion carried. It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Levy, that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for the con- struation of' sewer in Sewer Diatric.t No.2. Uotion carried.
