CALIFORNIA, HELD ON THE 25TH DAY OF NOVEM-

The meeting was called to order by the Mayor, .T. .T.
Furlong.
Councilmen present: Leonis, Levy, Martin, Durbin
and ]'urlong
Counci1men absent: None
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Leonis, that
the reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting be dis-
pensed: with. Motion carried.
The City Clerk announced that this was the time
and place set for the opening of bids for the printing of
bonds for the city of Vernon, and that he had three bida on
hia desk - one from S.chwaiba.aher-Frey Company; one from
Jeffriea Banknote Company; and one from Neuner Corporation.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin, thai
the Clerk be inatructed to open the bids.
'l'he Clerk opened and publicly read bids from the
three above ment ioned firma. A recess was taken for five
minutes to examine the bids and, upon the reconvening of
the t;ouncil, it was moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin, that
the City uouncU. believing it to the best interest of the
City of Vernon, accept the bid of the Neuner Corpoxa.tion
of Eleven Hundred ($1100.00) Dollars. and re.ject all the
bida ~cept the bid of the Heuner Corporation, and that
they be awarded. the contract to print three thousand light
and power bonds for the city of Vernon for the price men-
tioned in their bid, to-wit, $1100.00. Motion carried.
It was moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin, that
the Red Top Ca.b Compa.ny be given atem.porary permit to
operate a. cab stand in the Central Manufacturing District
during the livestock show in the city of Vernon. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Durb in, that
