was the time and place set in the notice for the a.ccepting
of the work and fixing the amount of bonds to be issued
f?r t~e doing of said work in A.cquisition and Improvement

eJ.ther written or otherwise. The JAayor at t.his time re-
quested any one in' the audience who bad any protest to
make, in regard to either the work or the amount. of bonda
to be issued, to make same. Hearing nQ response, Council-
man Durbin introduced RESOLUTION NO. 659, a. r'esolut.ion
a.ccepting the work and fixing the amount of bonds to be .
issued for the doing of same in Acquisition and Improve-
ment District No.1, a.nd moved its adoption, which was
seconded by Counc ilman Levy, and carried:

this City Council and evidence has been reeeived upon

Il!HIBD: That all of the acrts,d.etermina:tions
a.nd proceedings heretofore had and taken in the matter
~ Acquisition and Improvement District No. 1 of the City
of Vernon, C&.lifarnia, are regular and in all respects
sufficient.
-FOURTH: Tha..t the. \vork a.nd improvement to be
done and performed in the matter of said district bas been
completed and performed according to the contract in a
good and subatant ial manner a.nd tb&t the said work and
impI' ovement is hereby &ceept.ed.
"FIFTH: That the amount of the contract price
for the doing of said work a.nd improvement is the sum of
eighteen thousand five hundred forty-one and ninety-faux
hundredtha dollars ($18,541. 94); that the amount of inci-
dental. expenses of sa.id 1mpr av ement and of the pr ooeedings
which are to be :pa.id by the eontractor- i8 the Stml of four
thousand eighty-four and ninety-one hundredths dollars
($4,084.91); tbat. the aggr-ega'ie a.moun:t for which bonda
shal1 be issued to L. A. PAVING eo., me., eontracrtor , or
its assigns, is the sum of t\1fenty-two thousand six hundred
twenty-six and eighty-five hundredths dolla.rs (122,626.85).
.SIXTH: That the Treasurer of the City of Vernon,
California sha'll issue acquisition and improvement district
bonds of said district designated Series "Bit, amounting to
'22,626.85, dated the d&t e of the adopt ion of this r-eso1tt-
tion, in the marIner and form provided in the Acquisiti.on
and Improvement Act of 1925, as amended, and in aeaordance
with the pr ov 1sions for said boms contained in the resolu-
tion of intention adopt~d by this. City Council the 15th ~
of December, 193Q, said res o1ut ion beiug numbered 609.
Said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of 7 per cent
per annum, payable semiannually, except that th~. f irat
interest is to be payable on the 2nd day of July, 1933
and the last interest will be paid at the mat ur ity of each
respect 1ve bond; the aggrega..te principa.1. of sa.id bollda
shall be paid and discharged within fom-teen <<14.) years

.UVmrI'H: On the expiration of twenty (20) days
from the making of this order, the Clerk of this City
Council shall tranrsmit to the Tr-eaaurer of the City of
Vernon an attested copy of this resolution and order, to-
gether with an attested copy of said resolution of 1rl't.en-
tion, and upon re~ipt of same said Treasurer sba.ll proceed
to issue the aforesaid bonds.
IIRIGHTR: '-'he City Clerk shall enter this reSQ-
lut ion in full upon the minutes of this City Council.
