It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Leonis, that the
reading of the Jlinu1es of the previous meeting be dispensed
with. Motion carried.
A.t this time the Ct ty Clerk a.nno'Une:ed that he had
several bids on his desk pursuant to the Notice Inviting :Bids
for Eleva.tora in the Vernon Power Plant.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Leonis, that the
City Clerk public~y open a.nd declare the bids. Motion caxried.
A.t this time the City Clerk publicly opened and rea.d
bids from the following firms:

& Manufacturing Co.
It was moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin, that a.ll
bids be referred to the City Engineer for checking and report.

At this time Mr. Durbin of the \ia.ter and Power Committee
introduC'ed Resolution ]fo. 662, a resolution approving Specifiea-
tion No. 34 heretofore a.pproved by the Committee on Wa.ter and
Power, and moved its a.doption, which wa..s seconded by Councilman
Martin and carried.
It wa.s moved by krtin, seconded by Durbin, that the
City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for the furnishing
of oil filters for the City"s power pla.nt., in a.cc.ordance with
Specification No. 34. .otion carried.
Report of the Vernon Industrial Development Associa.tion
for the period ending June 30th" 1932, was read.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded ty Martin, that the
report be received and filed. Motion carried.
