for va.lves to be used in the Vernon pavrer plant.
It wa.s moved by Durbin, seconded by Levy, t.ha.t the
City Clerk be instructed to open the bids. J[otion carried.

pursuant to notice advertising for same, bids upon his desk
for the furnishing of cab~e to the City of Vernon to be used
in its p.ower plant.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Leonis, that.
the City Clerk be instructed to open sa.id bids. Motion carried.

After examining the bids, the City Engineer and the
Commit.tee on Wa.t.er &: PG'lIer recommended that a.l.l. bida be ra-
jeded ex.cept the bid of the Columbia. Steel Company, a.nd that
it be awarded the aontraC't.

all. bids be rejected for the furnishing of cab1e exce.pt the
bid of the Col.mnbia Steel Company, and tha-t it be awarded. the

pipe and fittings.
