the C.ity Clerk proceed to open and publicly rea.cl the bids.

Counuil. to abandon Speeiflcauions. No. 49 and, in :lieu thereof,
a.dopt. Specifica.tions No. 50.
Councilman Durbin iutrodue:ed Resolution Jio. 686, a
resolution rescinding the :former action o:f the Board. in ap-
proving Specificat ions IIo. 49, which was seconded by Counci~-
man Leonis, and adopted.

ad. opt. iOJl., which was seaollded by Couno fIman Leonia, and adopted.

vail.iBg ra.te per diem wages for labor to be done in the
:furnishfug. installing and del.iveriug of centrifugal pumps
and motors for cool.1ag tower circulating \'Jat.er aervice, de-
ac:ribed in Specifications No. 50, was read.
It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Leorl1s. that
ResolutioD No. 688 be adopted. )(otten carried.

Councilman .Durbin informed the Council that these
posi tions and the minimum and maximum P.8U therefor ha.d been
approved by the Committee on Water & Power, and moved that
the rec:ommenaaticm of the City Engineer and Consul.ting Engineer
be approved, which motion wa.s .econded by Councilman Le.oBis,
and carried.
A.t this time Councilman Durbin iatroduced RESOLUTION
NO. 689, So resolution providing payment for labor Upo.ll the
powu pJ.ant and distributing system in the event of thedis-
missal of any of the employees between meetings of the Council.,
that they may receive their pay without -qv.aiting until the next
meet ing of the Council. (said 1'e801ut 10n hav ing the rec-ommenda-
t ion of the Engineer and. the iJllater & Power Committee), a.nd
moved its adoptiol1, which was seconded by C:ounailman Leonis,
a.nd carried.
