It was maved by Levy, seconded by Durb in, that
the reading of the Minutes of the previaus meeting be dis-

At this time the City Clerk announced that he
had an his desk, pursuant to. natice inviting sealed pra-
pasus, bids far the furnishing and erecrting of certain
all tanks, as set forth in said nat ice and Specificatians

It was moved by Levy, seco.nded by Durbia, 'that

At this time the City Clerk opened and publicly
read bids fram the fol1owing firms far the furnishing and

oil storage and delive.ry pla.nt a.t 2501 East 28th at. l 11&11 read.
It was moved by Durbin, sec-onded by Levy, that the
report of :tial H. H. Isaaca be filed and thea;ppllcat1on ~
the Pioneer Petroleum Producrts be granted. Motian carried.
Oommunicat ion from Reid Murdoch &:: Co., for permit
to haul refuse from premises at 4500 District Blvd., was read.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin, that the
communication be fil.ed and permit granted. lIotion carried.

the City Clerk be authorized and instructed to advertise
for bids for the furnishing of the e'luipment set forth in
Speeifications No. 59". Motion carried.

At this time the Engineering Department made ita
repart on the bids for sixty-cell. storage battery a.nd aeae.a-
sories, a.nd recommended tb&t the Electric: Storage :Battery Co.
be awarded the eontrarl for the furnishing of one sixty-c.ell
storage battery and accessoriiB for the lump sum of 1199-5.0.0.

reeommer.dat ion of .the liingineering Department be &Qeepted and
that all bids for the furnishing of said sixty-cell storage
battery be rejeCtted, except the bid of The Eleatrie: Storage;
Battery Co., and that it be awarded the aoatraa.t, and tha.t
the- City Clerk be instruc-ted to return checks of al1. un-

A.t this time the :Mayor, tor the Committee appointed
to rregotiate. tor additional lands, reported that he had em-
ployed J". VI. 'iiaiWiJon.-, as an appraiser to aacert&1n the trme
value of the land, and recommended to the City Council that
the ~ity purchase the land in qneation if same could be bought
for 132,,611.59, being sixty-five cems per squ.re :toot i said
property to be :tree and. clear ex:e:ept for the secrom hal.f or
the 1932-33. taxa.; and that, if the purchase a:ould be made
for this price, the lt1a.yor immedia.tel.y purchase sama, and that
same 'be paid :tor out of the eleatria power plant bond fund.
It was moved by Dur'bin, seconded 'by Levy, that the
report of the .Mayor be accepted and tha.t the llay'-or and aity
Clerk be authorized to buy the property set forth in the
appra.iser's recommendation at the price recommended by the
Ma.yor. lIot ion ~arried.
At this time the Committea em- Wa.ter a.nd Power
reeomm.ended that all bids :for- the furnishing and b.tstal.l.ing
of generator unit with appurtenances, described in Specifica-
tions No. 52, be rejected, except the bid of Winton Engine
Corporation, and that it be a.warded the contract.

Steel. Corporation, Ltd., it being the lowest and best bidder,
a.nd tha.t a.ll bids berej ec-ted except the bid of the. .American
Pipe &; Steel Cor pOI' a.t ion, Ltd., and tha.t all checks be ret'f.1rne4
to unsueeessful bidders.
It waa moved by Levy, secome.d by Durbin, that. the.
rec anmendation of the City Engine-ar be concurred in ami that
the contract be awarded tot he .&mer i.can Pipe Be Steel Corpora-
tion, Ltd., it 'being the larlest and best bidder, and that &11.
checks of unsuceessful bidder's be returned. Mot ion carried.
, At this tin;l&the City Engineer recommended tha.t all
bids for the building of the warehouse be rej ected except
those of the three lowest bidders and tba't chean be returned
to theunsuccesaiul.bidders, said engineer stating that the
