At this time the &i ty Treasurer request ed the City Council to authorize the transfer of $71,250.00 from. The First JaTat ional Bank of Vernon to the Bank of Amer ioa, Vernon Branch, to be used in the payment of interest on the Light &Po.er Bonda. It was moved by Durbin, seoonded by Peralta. tha.t the request of the City Treuurer ba conourred in. Kotion oarried. At this time Councilman Durbin introduced Reso~u- tion No. 719, a Resolution approving Specifications No. 'lQ -3- 281 for the furnishing of swit.ch and transformer oil to the City of Vernon, Having the app.roval of the Committee on Light & Power, it was moved by Durbin, seoonded by Peralta, that the Resolut ion be a.dopted. Mot ion carried. It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Peralta, th&t the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for the furnishing of oil and grease, as set forth in Spec,ifications No. 70. Motion carried. It was moved by Leonis, seconded by Durbin, that the report be filed and a copy ~ereof sent to Hooven, OBens, Rentschler Company. Kotion carried. .At this time the City Engineer made a report to the City Council that the bid of Anton ~obnson Co. was the l~est and best bid received far the furnishing of labor and mater- ial aa set forth in Specifioations No. 6~, and recommended that the cOl'ltract be awarded to Anton Johnson Co. It was moved by Durbin, seconded by Leonis, that the recommendation of the City Engineer be concurred in and that all bids be rejected except the bid of Anton Jobnson Co.. a.nd that. it be awarded the contra.ct; and that ch~cks of the unsuccessful bidders be returned.
