OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON, HELD ON THURSDAY', MAY 11, 1933,

The meeting was cal1.ed to order by the Mayor,
:T. J. Fur'long.
Counc::ilmen present: Fur1.ong, Durbin, Levy
Councilmen absent: Leonis, Peralta.
It wsa moved by Durbin, seconded by Levy, that
the reading of the Minutes o~ the previous meeting be dis-
pensed with. Motion carried.
At this time the Engineering Department with the
approval of tha Wa.ter &; Power Committee, reportee! that the
bid of Sangamo E1ectric Company was the lowest and best
bid received for the furnishing and delivering of electric
meters and instrument tranaformers, in accordance with
Specifications No. 71, and recommended that the contrad be
awarded to said Sangamo :&1.ect1:1c Company.
It was moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin, that the
recommendation of the Engineering Department be concurred in
and that the contract for the fur'nishing and delivering at'
el.ectric me,ters and instrument transform.ers be awarded t Q
the Sangazn.o E1.eetric Company, the 10\&est and best bidder, at
the: price nsmed in ita "IUd, and that checks be returned to
the unsuccessful bidders. .otion (tarried.
The Engineering: Department, with the approval of
the Water & Power Committee, then reported. that the ElectriCal
Facilities, Inc. bid was the lavcest and best bid received for
the furnishing and delivering of IIB:ter test tab1e and acces-
sories, in accordance with Specifications No. 72, and recom-
mended that the contract be awarded. to said Electrical
Fac::ilit ie s, Inc.
It wa.s moved by Levy, seconded by Durbin, that
the r'ecammendat10n of the Engineering Department be con-
curred in and that the contract far the furnishing and de-
l.ivering of meter test table a.nd accessories be awarded to
the Electrical Faci11tie s, Inc., the lawest [find beat bidder,
at the price named in hie bid, and that checks be returned
to the unsuccessful bidders. Motion carried.
